WEO World Endoscopy Organization is a global, member-focused organisation dedicated to advancing the field of endoscopy through innovation, education, and collaboration. WEO strives to enhance the professional development of its members while promoting the highest standards of endoscopic practice and patient care worldwide.
WEO’s mission is to be the world leader in endoscopic education while promoting high standards and quality in endoscopy.
Our objectives are to:

- Increase access and knowledge of endoscopy in underserved areas of the world

- Inform the public of the many benefits from high quality and safe endoscopy
WEO membership is open to both established professionals and trainees in gastrointestinal endoscopy. To be eligible for WEO Individual Membership, applicants need to be physicians specialised in gastrointestinal endoscopy that can provide evidence of certification by an appropriate specialty board or documented evidence of completion of an accredited training program.
To be eligible for WEO Trainee Individual Membership, applicants must be graduates from a medical school, training in gastrointestinal endoscopy that can provide evidence of their training status with a letter written and signed by their department head. The letter needs to be dated and mention the department name, the role of the trainee in the department as well as the expected date of training completion.
Membership Benefits
Through welcoming individual membership, WEO seeks to strengthen direct communication with endoscopists and support the growth of a global network among its members worldwide. Membership network enables sharing of knowledge and provides access to regular updates on all WEO’s committees and educational activities.
